Celebrating Women International Day
Dunya Women’s Cancer Center has organized an event to celebrate Women International Day, and the three years since the establishment of Dunya as the only center in Palestine that is specialized in Diagnosing women’s tumors. The event was conducted at Maha Nassar Center in Jefna-a village near Ramallah.
The event included 80 women who benefit from Dunya. The event aimed at providing the psychological support for the patients and the staff. The event included the patients, some of the center’s friends, some members of the Health Work Committees, and the staff that works at Dunya. The goal of the event was to get out of the daily routine and create relations between the center and its patients and others.
There were many activities conducted at the event such as a musical segment, done by a young singer-Nora Abu Made in cooperation with Nida’ Maslamani who was responsible for the sound system. There was a question and answer segment where Dr. Fatma Al Hindi gave away gifts to the audience. The gifts were provided by Dunya’s staff as a donation to the patients and the participants of the event. There were flowers and mugs given as well from Al Watanieh Mobile. The last segment was the dinner. The event contributed in supporting women’s psychologically and as an entertainment activity.
